My Story, My Passion

While loving my work as an acupuncturist, I was struggling at home to find help for my daughter, Hailey, for her learning differences.  I struggled for 12 years to find her support until we went to the Amen Clinic for brain scans.  With their individualized detailed treatment plan and brain nutrient regime, my daughter’s life changed dramatically when she went from a 17% on her PSAT as a sophomore to a 74% on her SAT’s a year later as a junior, after just 2 weeks following her brain health treatment plan.

This was one of many changes that took place in her brain. She went from struggling with little short-term memory to graduating with a 4.0 from high school.  She is now 23 years old co-creating the life she continues to dream of.

My daughter had wonderful tutors and counselors and teachers along the way, yet no one, not once, told me there was another way to approach her imbalanced brain.  The day I realized Hailey’s brain was balanced, was the day I promised to the world that I would do everything I could to help others so they didn’t have to struggle for years with brain issues.  Whether it be short term memory difficulties, ADD, OCD, anxiety, depression, “brain fog”, Irlen syndrome et al, there are so many ways to help optimize the brain, and to also prevent dementia.

This changed her life and our lives so dramatically that I took a sabbatical February 2017 and became one of Amen Clinic’s Brain Health Professionals.

It is my passion to share healthcare options and brain health resources through teaching classes, groups, and organizations.  I also create and deliver curriculum for continuing education classes for healthcare professionals addressing learning, behavioral, and emotional issues as well as prevention of dementia.
